Johnny JB Bailey

JB was born December 5, 1967 in Albany Georgia. He attended Dougherty Comprehensive High School where he played Varsity Baseball and Varsity Basketball. After high school JB joined the United States Navy from 1987-2007.

JB started playing softball in 1988 while stationed in Hawaii. He played for the ship team until he got back to the main land where he started playing Military Varsity Softball at Naval Air Station North Island from 1991-1999. That’s when he got his taste of big time softball. In 1999 JB played for Charlie Rose/Easton and that was his first time playing in the Mens Slowpitch Major World Series.

In 2003 While playing for Marnell/Mizuno he won the “B” USSSA World Series. That was after taking 2nd for 3 years in a row. In 2007 he started playing Conference USSSA with KME/Easton and won numerous All Tourney awards and also taking runners up at the Mens “A” World Series and winning an All Worlds Award.

From 2009-2011 he played for Taylormade/Mizuno. In 2011 JB was runners up in the Mens Major World Series as a 16th seed.

In 2013 JB signed with Miken as part of The Koalition. Upon retiring from Conference USSSA in 2015 JB took his career over to the senior program where he join JK INC and accomplished something that a lot of players may not ever do. Out of the first 10 years of his senior career he won an astounding 8 SSUSA National Championships in 40 Major Plus and was on one of the first teams to ever win the 40’s and 50’s SSUSA Major Plus division on back 2 back weekends.

Since JB signed with Miken, he has had 3 signature senior slowpitch softball bats. (It has been a pleasure and an honor being a signature senior Miken Pro. Says JB)
